A multi-faceted downtown revitalization initiative bringing together housing, creek restoration, accessible trails, and community spaces. Backed by a growing coalition of local and regional partners.

Planning timeline June 2025 – May 2026. Multi-faceted approach includes mixed housing and commercial development, ADA-accessible all-season trail along Weaver Creek and Sidney Gulch, stream and floodplain restoration, and deep community engagement.

The project combines economic development, environmental restoration, and recreational access to create a sustainable future for Weaverville while honoring the natural and cultural heritage of Trinity County.

Project Components

Downtown Block Redevelopment

Mixed housing and commercial development on key Weaverville parcels. Revitalizing the downtown core with contemporary design respectful of local character.

Weaver Creek Trail

ADA-accessible, all-season recreational trail connecting parks to downtown. Provides safe pedestrian access and scenic overlooks along the creek.

Stream Restoration

Weaver Creek and Sidney Gulch habitat restoration. Focus on coho salmon recovery and floodplain restoration to enhance ecological health.

Community Engagement

Public workshops, planning charettes, and ongoing resident input. Ensuring the project reflects community priorities and needs.
